Elegant and striking, the black variety of Faverolles chicken is a must-have. These birds' deep, rich plumage makes them sleek and glossy. In fact, the roosters have that impressive shining-in, dark plumage.

If you love black and white, then the ermine type is the best for you. Yes, it's all about the feather, which is a beautiful combination of white and black. This ermine pattern is commonly seen in the UK and Australia. No wonder this is one of the rarest Faverolle chickens colors.

What makes the Cuckoo variety so unique is its bluish-white barred pattern. It features irregular light and dark stripes all over its body. This beautiful color gives it a mottled, almost mosaic-like appearance. I also have some cuckoo Faverolles chicken.

Some may confuse salmon and mahogany. Let me tell you the big difference. A Mahogany Faverolles chicken has feathers that are reddish brown in color, giving it a warm look. My mahogany chicken has beautiful feathers! You should probably have one, too!

The last variety is splash and blue. The color of this chicken is really a feast for the eyes. It has fine feathers that look slightly blue. Yeah, guys, the blue is not flashy like The Smurfs! They have a soft, pastel-like blue color.
